Privacy policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
Keme is an app that answers questions and creates content using AI models from several companies. This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, and how you can delete it. It applies to keme.app and the Keme apps for iOS and Android.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, the name you choose, and, if you set one, your password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- What you send Keme: your messages, the photos and PDFs you attach, and the answers Keme gives you, so your conversations are there when you come back.
- Sign-in records: the devices and browsers you’re logged in on and when they were last active, so you can see and end sessions in Settings.
- Usage records: for each request, which AI model answered, how much it cost us, and whether it worked. We use this to keep Keme reliable and affordable.
- Notification tokens: if you turn on notifications, a token that lets us send them to your device.
Face ID and fingerprint unlock happen entirely on your device. Keme never receives your biometric data. We don’t use advertising trackers and we don’t sell your data.
Who receives your data
To answer a request, Keme sends your message, any attachments, and recent conversation history to the AI provider best suited to it. They receive what’s needed to answer, not your email, password, or account details.
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, ByteDance (BytePlus), DeepSeek, xAI | Generating answers, images, and videos |
| Supabase | Accounts, sign-in, database, and file storage |
| Netlify | Hosting the website and Keme’s servers |
| Expo | Delivering notifications to the mobile app, if you turn them on |
AI providers process your data under their API terms to produce your answer. Keme uses their paid API services. Before using the app, you’re asked to agree to this sharing.
Why we use it
- To run Keme: sign you in, answer your requests, and keep your history.
- To keep it safe: prevent abuse, enforce limits, and review answers people report.
- To improve reliability and cost: choose which models handle which requests.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and conversations until you delete them. Deleting a conversation removes it straight away. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) removes your account, conversations, attachments, and usage records.
Your choices
- See and end the sessions you’re logged in on, in Settings.
- Delete any conversation, or your whole account, at any time.
- Turn notifications and biometric unlock on or off in Settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by emailing privacy@keme.app.
Children
Keme isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Questions: privacy@keme.app.
